Qualifications required

To comply with the insurance conditions, it is essential that any charterer and crew taking on a ‘bareboat’ charter have adequate experience and/or a minimum level of a qualification. This means that the Skipper must have at least an RYA Coastal Skipper qualification or be able to demonstrate competence and experience in coastal waters as Skipper in vessels of a similar size to Kadore. In addition, at least one other member of the crew must have an RYA Day Skipper qualification or be able to demonstrate sound experience to pilot the vessel to a safe haven should the Skipper be taken ill or injured. See RYA website for details : https://www.rya.org.uk/

Many charterers do not have RYA qualifications but are extremely experienced yachtsmen and yachtswomen and perfectly capable of handling Kadore. For this reason, we would be pleased to receive and discuss your resumé of experience before confirming your booking.
