Whisky Distillery Charter

Join Kadore for a skippered charter to Islay and Jura to visit the world-famous whisky distilleries. The duration of the tour and selection of distilleries to visit such as Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Bowmore is for you to decide. Your adventure starts at the historical village of Crinan on the mainland; we sail south, down the Sound of Jura to Port Ellen, a sheltered harbour on the east coast of Islay. En route there can be a stop off on Jura for a ‘refreshment’, home to the Isle of Jura distillery. Transport to the distilleries on Islay will be arranged from Port Ellen.

There is no shortage of distilleries on Islay but if you have a favourite elsewhere we would be pleased to sail you there on Kadore.

Mountain Treks Charter

Capture the commanding views across the Inner Hebrides offered by the island peaks. This charter pairing of sailing and mountain walking takes you to a safe shore location to start your ‘expedition’ on Jura or Mull. There are three significant mountains on Jura, collectively known as ‘The Paps of Jura’. It is possible to summit all three in one day. Alternatively, the charter can take in Ben More, a significant mountain complex on the Isle of Mull. Ben More is over 3,000ft and an exhilarating climb for the confident hill walker with appropriate equipment. Hill and mountain walking at other locations e.g. Skye or Rum is feasible within any skippered charter package. Tell us where you want to go and explore – we will sail you there.

We will tailor this unique skippered charter opportunity to meet your requirements; email [email protected] or phone 07795 487377 to discuss your trip.

Wildlife from the Water Charter

The shores around the West Coast of Scotland are teeming with wildlife. Sea life is abundant and includes seals, basking sharks, sea otters, porpoises, dolphins and even whales. The bird life is amazing and we can take you to places like the Treshnish Isles where there are colonies of puffins and guillemot, islands such as Oronsay where skylarks, twites, lapwings, redshanks and ringed plovers thrive and Coll which is well know for its corncrakes. Fish eagles, buzzards and various other birds of prey are often seen circling looking for their next meal. The remote sparsely inhabited islands and crystal clear, clean water provide a haven for prolific wildlife. Plant life is diverse and in this unique environment Atlantic rainforests are supported by the Gulf Stream which warms our Scottish shores.  We offer a skippered charter to the locations where nature is abundant.

If you are a keen naturalist, we will tailor a skippered charter opportunity to your requirements; email [email protected] or phone 07795 487377 to discuss your trip.
